Two of the biggest names in alternative media are set to tour Australia in July 2018. Stefan Molyneux & Lauren Southern announced their joint tour on YouTube on Friday night. The tour will be hosted by the newly created Australian events company Axiomatic Events.

Stefan Molyneux is the host of Freedomain Radio which has been broadcasting since 2005 and his YouTube channel has 782,000 subscribers. Freedomain Radio began with its focus on the libertarian philosophy, anarcho-capitalism and the non-aggression principle. However, it has gained wider recognition over the past few years for its focus on the fight to save western civilisation and Stefan’s support for Donald Trump during the 2016 presidential campaign. Freedomain Radio also focuses on men’s issues and peaceful parenting.

Lauren Southern rose to prominence for her confrontations with local feminists in her native Canada. She soon joined Rebel Media hosting her own show Standoff as well as doing street reports which included changing her legal gender to male. She went independent in February 2017 and where she has done field reports on the migrant crisis in Europe and worked with the border control group Defend Europe.

At the beginning of 2018 she visited South Africa to cover the white farm attacks and murders which culminated the production of the documentary Farmlands. Her activism and journalism has come at a cost as her patreon account was deleted and she was permanently banned from the UK for planning to distribute ‘Allah is Gay’ flyers in the town of Luton, England.

Molyneux and Southern will visit Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide plus Auckland, New Zealand. Their tour follows the successful Australian tours by Milo Yiannopoulos at the end of 2017 and Dr Jordan B. Peterson who toured in March this year, both tours had sold out shows.

In the YouTube promotional video, Molyneux and Southern talk about Australia being at a crossroads with Southern asking ‘do you want to retain your culture, retain your borders, family, identity or will the boats keep coming, will the no-go zones keep growing and will you become another victim of multiculturalism?’

Molyneux vows ‘we’re gonna help move the needle and shift the conversation because a lot of people do feel uneasy about the direction of the countries they’re living in’. They promise ‘fantastic presentations with essential information’ that include ‘lengthy Q&As, meet and greets and opportunities to ‘sit down and chat with us’.

Tickets are not on sale at the time of publication but you can register on the Axiomatic Events website to be notified as soon as they go on sale.

Their tour will present another challenge to our mainstream media who constantly fail to understand why personalities such as Molyneux and Southern are popular and try to portray them and their supporters as being part of an ultra far-right hate movement. The tour will certainly bring some much-needed discussion about important cultural issues in Australia.
