Show Description
On our interview show this week our guest is Stephen Cable who is a writer and political activist based in Brisbane. He has written for the Spectator Australia as well for LibertyWorks. He also has a personal blog called cablecritique.com. He describes himself as a Libertarian, Neo-Jeffersonian Democrat and a firm believer in National Sovereignty. He is also a member of the recently formed and fast growing Australian Conservatives.
We start by getting a background of his political views and his political activity to date. We ask him to give us an update on the activities of LibertyWorks in Brisbane including details about their LibertyFest Conference that is occurring in October. We also ask him to give an insight into the growth and inside workings of Australian Conservatives so far and explore can the party replicate this early success into a successful election result. We also get Stephen’s views on the other minor parties on the right such as One Nation and the Liberal Democrats. We then turn to discussing the current problems Australia is facing such as energy, immigration and education. Including analyzing whether economic or cultural issues are the biggest driver of public sentiment in Australia.
