TNE 101 Hazy Memories
In the week of 420 celebrations there was no time for hazy memories in commemorating the lives of Fr Bob McGuire and Barry Humphries to think of better times. We then sober up to get mugged by modern reality on this week’s Tim’s News Explosion.
Melbourne lost two of its most revered sons in one week: first maverick Catholic Preist Fr Bob McGuire at 88, then satirist and character actor Barry Humphries at 89. Humphries’s death was worldwide news with his characters Dame Edna Everage and Sir Les Patterson Australian international icons. Barry had been cancelled in his later years with the Melbourne International Comedy Festival removing his name from its award because he called Caitlyn Jenner a mutilated man.
Victorian Premier Dan Andrews spun another damning IBAC report about his government improperly awarding a Health Department contract to the Health Services Union as educational. In the Melbourne CBD, a man smashed down a CCTV surveillance camera. On 420 Victoria Police set up a makeshift police station at Flagstaff Gardens to repeatedly search attendees at the annual Legalise Cannibas picnic. Victoria Police moved on Thomas Sewell and National Socialist Network members who were celebrating Hitler’s Birthday at the Bavarian Restaurant in Knox on 420.
Lidia Thorpe’s white father Roy Illingworth appeared on the Bolt Report last week where he described her as a racist person who doesn’t acknowledge her white heritage. The Albanese Government released the advice of Solicitor-General Stephen Donaghue KC on the Aboriginal Voice where he claimed it would improve Australia’s constitutional system of government.

The Biden Administration wants to amend Title IX of the federal civil rights code to allow transwomen to play in women’s sports. A Wisconsin High School failed to report a Title IX violation when an 18-year-old male student who claims to be trans showered with four freshman girls.
The Murdoch-controlled Fox Corporation decided to settle the defamation lawsuit that Dominion Voting Systems brought against Fox News for $787.5 million US. Democrat Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez told Jen Psaki on MSNBC that federal regulators should be able to take shows like Tucker Carlson’s off the air for allegedly inciting violence.
In the UK Dominic Raab has resigned as Deputy Prime Minister over bullying allegations and has been replaced by replaced Oliver Dowden. On the Opposition side, Diane Abbott who was Shadow Home Secretary Under Jeremy Corbyn has had the Labour whip suspended from her letter for a letter of her’s published in the Guardian which claimed Jewish people don’t experience racism.
