There is no clear result from the election night count, the AEC has not counted either prepolls or postal votes. Labor’s Kirsty McBain is ahead on the two-party preferred count with the most likely outcome the Labor Opposition retains the seat.
Occurring on the same night was a further coronavirus lockdown in Melbourne’s inner north-west.
