Australian Mainstream Media and Politicians Turn Spotlight on White South African Farm Attacks

The brutal racially motivated attacks and murder of white South African farmers has been happening for a number of years. Many whites in South Africa had already fled, those who stayed and white civil rights groups such as Suidlanders and AfiFroum tried to tell the rest of the world the horrors of what was going on.

But the issue wasn’t of interest to the West’s mainstream media and politicians only all to eager to champion human rights were silent. It was the alternative media who started reporting on these attacks and interviewing activists and victims. Lauren Southern and Katie Hopkins were one of the first media personalities to do on the ground reports from South Africa.

The South African parliament has just voting in favour of a motion to confiscate White South African farmers land without compensation, it had the support of new South African President Cyril Ramaphosa from the ruling African National Congress and from Julius Malema, the leader of the Marxist Economic Freedom Fighters who has advocated white genocide.

It would appear this offical proclamation from the South African government as finally turned the mainstream media’s attention to the human rights catastrophic about to take place. It has certainly generated much outrage among ordinary western citizens with growing calls for white South African farmers to be accepted as refugees into the west and South Africa to be banned from the upcoming Commonwealth Games.

The media coverage is being led by News Corp Australia who sent their investigative reporter Paul Toohey and photographer Gary Ramage to South Africa to speak with the victims of farm attacks. As part of their feature story they heard from victims that had seen loved ones executed, women who had been raped, had their skin burned from irons and were so badly beaten their faces were unrecognizable.

The worst part of their stories is that they cannot leave even if they wanted to, however many want to stay and fight. No one wants to buy a farm which is on the verge of being confiscated and where the occupant is at risk of being murdered. Economic mismanagement by a corrupt government has seen the Rand’s value collapse meaning they would be virtually penniless outside of South Africa.

Other News Corp commentators have also began to put the issue on the news agenda. There has been opinion pieces from Miranda Devine and Caroline Marcus. It has been also mentioned on by Rita Panahi and Paul Murray. Paul Toohey also appeared on the Bolt Report on Sky News to discuss what he saw.

Now in a major breakthrough politicians from one of the major parties are now posting about the plight of the white South African farmers and suggesting we should consider taking them in as refugees. Queensland LNP backbencher Andrew Laming was the first to speak out.

Yesterday Andrew Hastie expressed his outrage with what is happening in South Africa, extending an invitation to Citizenship Minister Alan Tudge to meet South Africa expats in Western Australia where there is a large community of them.

From the minor parties Liberal Democrats Senator David Leyonhjelm made the point if it was happening to Australian farmers we would take action.

Of course we are yet to hear any comments on this human rights crisis from senior members of the Turnbull Government which is where any decision to take in any White South African refugee will be made. Let us hope that some type of backbench revolt is unfolding. Certainly concerned Australians should contact their local MP to say these are the type of refugees we want in Australia. They should also sign The Unshackled’s petition.

The reason why up until this point the mainstream media and politicians looked the other way at this pending genocide is because they still bought the leftist narrative that racism against whites doesn’t exist, and that if they are attacked because they are white they probably deserved it. There is also a fear that if you dare to highlight the suffering of white people you must be a white supremacist. The Human Rights groups in Australia are not interested in commenting at all.

At a time where our refugee program, which largely takes people from the Middle East and Africa, is producing integration problems for our nation, taking in skilled farmers from South Africa who are culturally compatible with us (we play cricket and rugby union with them quite a bit) it would be a win win. We would be saving a persecuted minority from slaughter and they would show gratitude and make a valuable contribution to their new nation.

Let is hope the media spotlight on South Africa continues and more of our politicians are brave enough to speak up on these white farmers’ persecution.
