The Unshackled has just launched a new podcast Front and Center hosted by a recent addition to the Unshackled team Emilio Garcia. He describes himself as a centrist but still believes in the mission of the Unshackled. We thought we’d invite him on the show to introduce him to our audience, learn about his beliefs and what we can expect from his podcast.

We start by asking him to define what is centrism and does it just mean being a pretentious fence sitter? We also explore what drew him to working with the Unshackled and what he is aiming to achieve with his podcast. We discuss some of the problems with the current left-right divide and how the extremes are now dominating political discourse and if that can be fixed. We also get Emilio’s thoughts on the current culture wars on issues such as Australia Day, Safe Schools and Islamic immigration.
