On this week’s review show we are joined once again by Co-Editor in Chief of The Unshackled Sukith Fernando. We elaborate on the triggering article we published last week calling for the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras parade to be banned from the public space. We discuss how this position is not anti-LGBT but rather just reaffirming society’s longstanding public decency laws and the need to protect children from exposure to hypersexualised content. We also express concern that the current attitude the LGBT lobby has the potential to alienate a lot of the previous public good will towards them.
We also provide a preview of the Western Australian Election this Saturday, providing details about the political scene over there, what are the key issues in the campaign and what the likely outcome will be. We also discuss the chances of the minor parties in the upper house contest and also highlight in particular the campaign that has been run against Pauline Hanson and One Nation over the past week.
