Show Description
Welcome to another new format of The Unshackled Waves Podcast, the Report Show. This where we interview a guest who has been on the ground at a recent major event so our listeners have a first hand account of what really went on. Our first guest is the new Associate Editor of The Unshackled Tom Pirrone who attended the just passed International Conference on Men’s Issues on the Gold Coast. He was part of the official media crew on behalf of The Unshackled along with Editor at Large Max Luxton and had the opportunity to interview some of the speakers.

We start by asking him about his background and what drew him to work for The Unshackled, we then touch upon what initially drew him to attending the conference and to the broader men’s rights movement. We then ask him about the issues that were discussed at the conference such as male discrimination in the family court and in other areas of the law, men’s mental health and the truth about domestic violence. We also learn about the diverse group of people who attended the conference which included both sexes and people from all regions of the world.

We discuss the interviews he conducted with keynote guest Cassie Jaye, Director of the Red Pill documentary and our local politically incorrect hero Mark Latham. We ask Tom what the Red Pill documentary was actually like and highlight the vicious treatment Cassie has received by our Australian media and their attempts to smear her. We finish by reflecting on why this documentary has been so controversial in Australia which have included numerous screenings being cancelled and speculate that it may have to do with the powerful feminist lobby in Australia and the pushing of the domestic violence epidemic narrative.
