Welcome to another new format of The Unshackled Waves Podcast, the Economics Show. Similar in format to the In Focus Show and the Philosophy Show, it focuses on a single economics subject for the duration of the show with a guest who is well versed on it. Our first subject is alt-right economics and our guest is Steele Archer who is the founder of the Western Workers Party, a transnational organization helping whites push back against cultural Marxism and globalism.
The alt-right are more well known for their stance against open borders, multiculturalism, plight of whites, however they are quite diverse on economics. We begin by discussing the diversity of economic thought in the alt-right from ex-libertarians to old school national socialists. We then discuss some of the economic issues and where some on the alt-right stand on them. We put forward the case of why the alt-right should embrace free-market policies and not confuse the policies of globalism and cronyism as being part of capitalism. We touch upon economic issues such as welfare, government services, infrastructure, regulation, the environment, state ownership of enterprises and of course free trade. We finish off by discussing the dangers of empowering the state to solve the issues that matter to the alt-right and point out that much of the battle to save the West is a culture one that doesn’t involve government.
