A new super-duper strain of the WuFlu has emerged right as mass vaccination programmes kick off. The storming of the US Capitol has had ramifications in Australia and New Zealand.

The Northern Beaches of Sydney were placed into lockdown for most of the Christmas and New Year period. Masks were mandated in most indoor settings in Greater Sydney including at the cricket. The Sydney virus traveled to Melbourne leading to the Victoria NSW border being closed again. Greater Brisbane went into a three day lockdown over one case of the new UK super strain.
