Liberal Senator Concetta Fierravanti-Wells who lost pre-selection for a winnable position on the NSW Coalition Senate ticket launched an extraordinary attack on Scott Morrison’s character calling him a fake Christian and Conservative and a bully and an autocrat. Morrison outrageously tried to use the Commonwealth Solicitor-General’s services to take over NSW Liberal pre-selections. This character assessment of Morrison was shared by Pauline Hanson and outgoing former Country Liberal Party member Sam McMahon who was smeared as an alcoholic a week before she lost pre-selection. All three Senators voted against vaccine mandates.
The bribe budget included the rumored temporary cut in fuel excise which will be 50% for 6 months so petrol prices will rise again after the election. Anthony Albanese delivered his budget reply tonight with a focus on age care funding and regulation. Bob Katter also gave a budget reply on ABC News calling for all Australians to be armed for both self and national defense.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy addressed the Australian Parliament this afternoon. Scott Morrison called him a ‘lion of democracy’ despite the fact Zelenskyy has banned all Opposition parties and nationalized the media. Morrison also gave Ukraine another $25 million in lethal aid, that would be better spent in our own Asia-Pacific region with the Solomon Islands now signing its military deal with Communist China, succumbing to the nation’s checkbook diplomacy strategy. Conservative lobby group Advance Australia has begun driving around a billboard advertising ‘CCP says vote Labor’.
Greens Senator Lidia Thrope had another meltdown in the Senate constantly interrupting Government Minister Bridget McKenzie whom she asked a question about fracking. This follows Thrope claiming she was racially profiled at Canberra Airport because she was told her carry-on luggage was too heavy. She still claims she feels unsafe because she was called an ‘Abo whore’ by the Warriors of the Convict Resistance. Because of her complaints and other threats against politicians, the AFP announced they are setting up a dedicated police task force to protect politicians and candidates during the federal election campaign.
The Federal Government has added children aged zero to four to its vaccine injury compensation scheme in preparation for covid vaccines to be approved and rolled out for this youngest age group. South Australia has dropped vaccine mandates for teachers and transport workers, the state previously dropped mandates for the state’s police force.
