Another Islamist terrorist attack has occurred in the West. This time it was in London, United Kingdom where a man inspired by ISIS and radical Islam drove his car on the footpath of the Westminster Bridge running over pedestrians before crashing into the gates of the Palace of Westminster where the British Parliament is located. There he stabbed a policeman to death before being shot by police. The total death toll currently stands at 5 with 40 injured.

We know this was an Islamist inspired attack because for once the authorities told us the truth from the beginning, they did not attempt to cover it up or delay releasing the attacker’s motive for as long as possible. As we’ve come to expect the usual virtue signaling from world leaders has begun, expressing their shock and horror at this terrible tragedy. British Prime Minister Theresa May called the attack “sick and depraved” and that “We will all move forward together, never giving in to terror and never allowing the voices of hate and evil to drive us apart’’. German Chancellor Angela Merkel said her nation stood “firmly and resolutely alongside Britons in the struggle against all forms of terrorism”

Sorry, but you don’t prevent another one of these terrorist attacks by demonstrating how sad you are about it, you take steps to make sure another doesn’t happen. Your sympathy is worthless unless you actually take the action that is required. But over the past two years in the west we have seen attack after attack yet world leaders continue to express their horror and then move on and hope we have all forgotten about it until the next one happens.

So far only one world leader has actually taken decisive action to prevent more terror in their country. Donald Trump while a candidate proposed a ban on Muslims coming into the United States after the San Bernardino attack and reaffirmed that position after the Orlando gay nightclub massacre. Once sworn into office Trump implemented his election promise with an executive order banning travel to the United States from seven countries with a history of Islamic extremism. He has been prevented from enforcing this ban thanks to the rulings of unelected activist judges but at least Trump knows what must be done.

Over in Europe the political establishment dare not concede that maybe letting in millions of Muslims who are hostile to western values was a bad idea. In fact, they are doing all they can to sabotage the campaigns of nationalist politicians in this year’s European elections. They celebrated the less than expected result in the Dutch election of Geert Wilders’ Party for Freedom.

Despite the endless amount of terror attacks the political establishment still has their heads in the sand, how much blood has to be spilled before they realize that only radical action will stem this onslaught? Of course, some politicians have even said we should get used to these attacks, such as the Muslim Mayor of London Sadiq Khan has stated that constant terror attacks are “part and parcel of living in a big city”

In Australia both major parties are committed to letting thousands of Muslim migrants and refugees in year after year. The only politician saying anything different is once again Pauline Hanson. In a tweet mocking the #Pray4London hashtag she created her own Michelle Obama style hashtag #Pray4MuslimBan elaborating ‘That is how you solve the problem. Put a ban on it,’. She has been of course mocked for this by the mainstream media but she is only the one arguing for a solution.

The argument against a Muslim ban is that it is unfair against the peaceful majority of Muslims. But at as we have seen the more Muslims there are in an area the more our freedoms are threatened, from increased crime and violence to the development of sharia no go zones. You only had to look at the reaction on Al Jezeera’s livestream of the attacks to see what their viewership thinks of the attack. Of course, there is the photo doing the rounds on social media of a Muslim woman causally walking past the scene of the attack and not batting an eyelid.

All of this sending our thoughts and prayers to the victims is meaningless unless we pressure our political leaders into the right course of action, to halt Muslim immigration. All the security money can buy around our cultural landmarks won’t stop the determination of Islamists. How many times must this keep happening until we all realize that the open borders global harmony dream has failed? We are at war with a hateful foreign ideology, we have to protect our homelands first and the citizens of our nations rather than care more about those on the other side of the world. What to really be a virtuous person? Actually, have the courage to do what is needed despite the fact it might actually require hardship.
