Former Eastern European Communist Bloc Now Western Civilization’s Greatest Defenders

The traditional western powers in Europe, North America and here in Australia and New Zealand appear to be in decline, both economically, socially and culturally. This is thanks to open borders immigration allowing the enemies of the West to take it down from the inside, the breakdown of the bedrock of western civilization, the family, through the promotion of various degenerate lifestyles, the adoption of the black armband view of western history that claims it was built on racism and genocide, and restrictions on free speech defending Western heritage.

While this is very demoralizing to those of us who value western society and its traditions there is one part of the world where they are staunch defenders of Western values. Mainly because they know what it is like to live without it, and that is the former Communist bloc in Eastern Europe, mainly Poland and Hungary and of course, Russia. They have picked up the fight against totalitarian ideologies and cultural Marxism while it infiltrates our countries. They have suffered for decades under true Marxism and they sure as hell do not want to see it return.

This is demonstrated by their refusal to take any Muslim migrants which are flooding into Europe and causing mass social unrest. Despite massive pressure from the European Union of which it is a member of, Poland is standing firm in declaring it will accept zero migrants “because there is no mechanism that would ensure safety”. Poland’s Prime Minister Beata Szydło from the governing nationalist Law and Justice Party said it’s impossible not to connect the recent migrant wave and increase in terror. Over 100,000 Polish people demonstrated against accepting any migrants on the nation’s Independence Day from Communism last year.

Hungry is also determined not to be swamped with migrants which is one of the first European nations they attempted to enter. Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has taken a leaf out of Donald Trump’s book (or perhaps it’s where Trump got the idea) and has built a border wall to keep out migrants attempting to enter. Orban is also not intimidated by the European Union’s demands and has described migrants as “poison.”

In Russia Vladmir Putin has been lucky to be able to observe the European disaster from a distance free from the shackles and demands of the European Union. He spoke out after a migrant had their conviction for raping a 10-year-old boy overturned in Austria decrying that it represented ‘the dissolution of traditional national values’ and lamenting ‘A society that cannot defend its children has no future.’

These former Communist nations take the protection of their children very seriously. No more so than Poland, especially the unborn with the government recently proposing legislation which would only permit abortion in the case of the mother’s life being threatened. In Russia there is also a growing movement for legislation to protect the unborn. These nations saw constant death and destruction under Communism and hence have a deeper understanding of the importance of human life.

These nations are also against the growing cultural Marxist trends prevalent in the West such as feminism. This is represented by the growing hostility in both Poland and Hungry against the prevalence of gender studies courses in universities which they correctly view as against traditional values and anti-family as it encourages women not to have children. In Russia Putin has introduced an incentive scheme for couples to have large families to rescue the country’s low birth rate. It would appear these nations realize a healthy birth rate is vital to the survival of their nations so are alert to such anti-human phenomena.

The same mindset applies to the LGBT agenda with Poland’s President Andrzej Duda declaring that it will never legalize same sex marriage and it’s constitution defines marriage between a man and a woman. Gay pride parades were until recently banned and still attract significant opposition from Polish citizens who do not approve of the lifestyle. Hungry also has a constitutional ban on same sex marriage. In Russia, of course they have been the staunchest opponents of the agenda with the introduction of their homosexual propaganda ban.

The embrace of western values in all three countries is underpinned by the fact they are all majority Christian nations. Poland is Catholic, Hungry has mixed denominations and Russia has the Russian Orthodox Church. Communism aimed to crush Christianity in all three nations because it limited people’s worship and adherence to the state. But now, finally free, these nations have embraced their religious heritage and are now in resurgence. They also have a better appreciation for the wealth that the capitalist economic system creates with low personal and corporate taxes as they have seen the poverty that a socialism system creates.

Over in Australia and the rest of the West it would appear that maybe we need to suffer under 5o years of communism for us to appreciate freedom and western values. That would appear to be the way we are heading with importing migrants who do not share our values, the promoting of degenerate lifestyles which breakdown the institution of the family which have held our society together, and the replacement of Christianity with new nihilistic faiths such as environmentalism and feminism. You don’t know how good the west is until its gone, these Eastern European nations understand that. Let us not suffer the same fate as they did last century.
