LIVE COVERAGE: Multiple fatalities in Fort Lauderdale Airport shooting
Multiple fatalities have been reported in a shooting at Fort Lauderdale Airport. At least five deaths have been reported to CNN by a law enforcement official. Another Eight people have been sent to nearby hospitals.
The shooting occurred both outside and inside the terminal. Investigators are already looking into the motive. The suspect has been identified as Esteban Santiago, a 26-year-old U.S. citizen, born in New Jersey to Puerto Rican parents. Terrorism has not been ruled out.
