Show Description
On our interview show this week we are joined by Professor James Allan who is the Garrick Professor of Law at the University of Queensland. His area of expertise is legal philosophies, constitutional law and bills of rights. He is one of the few prominent conservative academics in Australia with his articles appearing regularly in the mainstream press as well as numerous appearances on television and radio. He is the author of several books, his two most recent ones are Making Australia Right and Democracy in Decline both published by Connor Court Publishing.
As well as discussing his recent books we also get his take on current political climate in Australia and his view on the performance of the Trump administration. We also discuss his defense of majoritarian democracy as the best form of government and why bills of rights, limited government and proportional representation are not such a good idea. We also get his perspective about being a conservative academic given the left wing culture of universities worldwide.
