On Sunday 14th of April, Danish lawyer and political campaigner Rasmus Pauladin held a Quran throwing event in a migrant heavy suburb in Copenhagen.
He and his fellow campaigners threw the book back and forth several times before they were rushed by members of the surrounding community. Police tackled one man to the ground (as seen in the video) and quickly escorted Pauladin into one of their cars for his own safety.
What happened next was a mass protest in the area resulting in 23 arrests, including the man that was tackled, up to 20 fires, in which shops and cars were burned, an exploding car and the dispatch of up to 300 police officers to clean the mess up.
Pauladin had warned the authorities prior to holding the event. He was banned from holding protests until April 23rd.
