Islam is not a feminist religion, obviously
Feminism is an ideology characterised by various fads that have risen and fallen over time, from universal suffrage to lipstick feminism. It’s most recent fad is an amusingly perverse tryst with Islam, with many feminists stating that Islam is a feminist religion. This has not only encouraged many Western feminists to embrace and convert to Islam, it has also seduced them towards supporting an open borders policy in favour of Islamic refugees, and ultimately terrorists.
Feminists have since begun to flaunt their newfound alliance with Islam in order to steer public opinion in favour of the religion, which has drawn widespread ridicule. This reached a climactic point on Monday night’s Q&A program aired in the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC). One of the panellists was Yassmin Abdel-Magied, who is probably the biggest living oxymoron in the country, as she is an Islamic feminist.
Abdel-Magied, when confronted by Tasmanian Senator Jacqui Lambie, flaunted her ignorance by saying, “Islam for me is the most feminist religion”. This level of stupidity is simply breathtaking, and it leaves me speechless. A simple examination of the Qu’ran is all you need to realise that Islam is one of the most anti-woman religions in the world. Yet these feminists have not only betrayed their role as women, they have displayed their incompetence by tragically misunderstanding the teachings of another religion.
So I thought it’s time for feminists, and the left in general, to become educated and well-versed in Islamic teachings regarding women. Here is a list of some extracts from Scripture that shows what Islam really thinks about women:
Quran 4:11 – “The male shall have the equal of the portion of two females” (in regards to inheritance).
Quran 5:6 – “And if ye are unclean, purify yourselves. And if ye are sick or on a journey, or one of you cometh from the closet, or ye have had contact with women, and ye find not water, thn go to clean, high ground and rub your faces and your hands with some of it”. This verse implies that women are unclean, and thus instructs men to purify themselves after coming into contact with a woman.
Quran 2:223 – Your wives are as a tilth unto you; so approach your tilth when or how ye will…” This explicitly objectifies women and tells men to use them in whichever way they want.
Quran 53:27 – “Those who believe not in the Hereafter, name the angels with female names.” This is a fundamental Islamic teaching when it comes to the position of men and women. It says that angels should be given male names, not female names, showing that even the highest of beings are men.
Quran 4:3 – “Marry women of your choice, Two or three or four”. Polygamy is a defining aspect of Islam that shows women as lower than men, as the latter are able to keep whichever amount of the former they wish as their own property.
Sahih Bukhari 6:301 – “[Muhammad] said, ‘Is not the evidence of two women equal to the witness of one man?’ They replied in the affirmative. He said, ‘This is the deficiency in her intelligence.’”
Ishaq 593 – “As for Ali, he said, ‘Women are plentiful, and you can easily change one for another.'” Feminists actually learn about the importance of having more women than men in their Gender Studies classes, which has resulted in them labelling men the “expendable” gender. Little do they know that it’s actually a naturally ratified concept similar to polygamy, where one man breeding with multiple women will be the most efficient method of expanding the human race. Feminists can empower themselves by looking at the fact that more women are needed (meaning women are valuable), but the fact that Nature only needs one man not only shows males are ultimately the most efficient and dominant gender, it also paints women as merely a valuable commodity that are required by men to further the human race. But don’t tell feminists that, ignorance is bliss after all.
Sahih Muslim 4:1039 – “A’isha said [to Muhammad]: ‘You have made us equal to the dogs and the asses’. Muhammad’s wife explicitly states the positioning of women in Islam.
These are just a few Islamic teachings that clearly portray the religion’s attitude towards women. If a feminist was to look at that, it would easily qualify as sexism and misogyny. However, criticising Islam would be gravely Islamophobic.
Yet people like Yassmin Abdel-Magied have the nerve to tell Australians that Islam “is the most feminist religion” she knows. I never knew “the most feminist religion in the world” would objectify women, make them lower and less sacred to men, let men use women whichever way they like, and equate them to “the dogs and the asses.” Yassmin Abdel-Magied also happened to go on a tour of the Middle East to promote her biography that was funded by taxpayer-money, but that’s none of my business.
Islamic feminists also claim the body-covering enforced by Islam is empowering as only they get to choose who to reveal their body to. However, Islam teachings clearly show veils and other body-coverings as rules imposed by the Islamic “Patriarchy” on women to control them and further lower their status. It is clearly stated that women are to wear veils to enclose their uncleanliness, as well as to conform to a male notion of modesty. But Yassmin would have us believe that this religion is feminist. She most likely utilised the Islamic concept of ‘Taqqiya’, which allows Muslims to lie or give a false representation of their religion if circumstances call for it. Imagine the triggering that would be unleashed once she realises what her religion actually says about her own gender.
