David Icke’s Coordinated Social Media Deplatforming
There are still plenty of media personalities and commentators with a presence on the big social media platforms who are expressing views the mainstream would consider “extreme” and “far-right”. But coordinated deplaforming only occurs if there is alarm by globalists and “anti-hate groups” that such personalities are becoming too influential.
Alex Jones whose Infowars website had a presence on all social media for over a decade was the first to experience such a coordinated deplatforming in 2018. This was a year before the lid was lifted on the Hollywood and political pedophile rings with Jeffrey Epstein’s arrest and “suicide” vindicating Jones’ warnings about them.
Who is David Icke?
Over the weekend another coordinated social media deplatforming has occurred to David Icke after his contra-coronavirus pandemic commentary was gaining too much influence. Icke is a former football and sports commentator turned speaker and campaigner against the New World Order.
His views that shape-shifting reptilians head the global elite have seen him placed at the more absurdist end of anti-globalist campaigners with the mainstream media describing him always as a conspiracy theorist.
David Icke has been in the public eye for most of his life dedicating the last 20 years of his life to his campaign against the new world order and promoting his theories about reptilian humanoid overloads. Though the deplatforming campaign against had only kickstarted in the past year.
The clearest example of this was the Australian Government’s decision to deny him a visa to tour Australian in 2019 due to his views on the holocaust despite the fact he has been able to tour the nation without impunity in the past.
Censorship During the Coronavirus Pandemic
The global coronavirus pandemic is being used by many western governments to introduce in their own words draconian stay at home restrictions along with mass surveillance and tracking to enforce the mandated house arrest. As a result, many have rightfully questioned if such measures are medically necessary to contain the pandemic or the orders are simply a power grab with the fear of catching or dying from the virus being used as the pretext and public justification.
Social media companies in collusion with globalist bodies are promoting national lockdowns and surveillance as the only medical cure to the virus. This is their justification for deplatforming lockdown opponents. Facebook has been censoring groups organising protests against stay-at-home orders.
Dissident Doctors Deplatformed
Even medical professionals questioning or disagreeing with social distancing measures have been censored for going against the World Health Organisation’s advice (despite the incompetence and misinformation it has displayed during the pandemic) or the advice of their local health authorities.
YouTube has been busy deleting all copies of a video press conference by Californian Accelerated Urgent Care doctors Dan Erickson and Artin Massihi aired on 23 ABC where they questioned the medical benefits of social distancing and lockdowns based on this justification. The full video conference is available on free speech video site Bitchute.
Growing Globalist Alarm at Icke
David Icke’s views on the coronavirus first become a concern to the globalists when broadcast television channel London Live aired a 105-minute interview with Icke conducted by Brian Rose where Icke discussed the coronavirus pandemic and the rollout of 5G internet technology together suggesting a link. Opposition to 5G rollout because of health and security concerns has also been censored by social media companies.
The British Government’s telecommunications regulator Ofcom found that London Live breached television standards in airing the interview. The YouTube livestream version of the interview was instantly deleted but can also be viewed on BitChute.
Over the weekend the big two social media platforms Facebook and YouTube took down David Icke’s accounts. First was Facebook on May 1 with their justification for removing Icke’s page being its spreading “health misinformation that could cause physical harm” and the page “repeatedly violating our policies on harmful misinformation”.
The next day on May 2 YouTube followed suit terminating Icke’s channel because of the platform’s “clear policies prohibiting any content that disputes the existence and transmission of Covid-19 as described by the WHO and the NHS,” and that “Due to continued violation of these policies, we have terminated David Icke’s YouTube channel.”
Icke still has his blue tick verified Twitter account which has over 300,000 followers but that account could be the next of Icke’s to go. Twitter has recently suspended the account of BLEXIT leader Cancide Owens for encouraging her followers in the US state of Michigan to defy Governor Gretchen Whitmer’s stay at home orders.
Social Media’s Censorship Justifications and Aims
The social media giants’ community standards policies are acting more like editorial edicts, even though they still maintain they are platforms not publishers to avoid legal liability.
They are basing their censorship of lockdown dissents on “public health” grounds. This justification tells us they are making a decision to support a particular view about the coronavirus and the appropriate medical and political response and are concerned about the public being exposed to other approaches. And/or they think the public is too stupid to make up their own minds and will believe any idea that is broadcast to them, therefore only the approved “ideas” are allowed to be on their platforms.
David Icke will obviously not be silenced by his Facebook and YouTube ban nor will he be disconnected from his followers. He and they will simply migrate to other media platforms. Icke is already releasing new content on his BitChute channel which has 22k subscribers.
Icke is also launching his own video self-hosted video subscription based service for his followers called Ickonic – The Alternative
Censoring ideas and dissents in 2020 will only result in the public being more curious about such ideas and people.
