Just moments ago, in the wake of the Sri Lanka attacks where there has been even more explosions as at least 150 killed at churches and hotels on Easter Sunday, the Pope has bowed to pressure from the Christian community and urged politicians to make a new effort to resolve the Syrian conflict and so help ensure the return home of millions of refugees and displaced people.
It is “time for a renewed commitment for a political solution (to) … favour the secure re-entry of the homeless, along with all those who have taken refuge in neighbouring countries, especially Lebanon and Jordan,”
