If there is one online forum that has been able to troll the left and social justice warriors into a frenzy about hate and white supremacy it is the messageboard 4chan.
They previously were able to convince the left that the ‘okay’ hand sign, Pepe the Frog, the slogan ‘it’s okay to be white’ and milk were all symbols of white supremacy and Neo-Nazism, and that anyone imitating or displaying these symbols was an adherent of that ideology.
This year 4chan users have attempted to reclaim the LGBT rainbow flag as a symbol of the alt-right and white nationalism claiming the separate colours of the flag are meant to symbolize the beauty of each race remaining separate and not race mixing.
Now they are at it again with spreading the message online that the
#hashtag symbol popularized by Twitter to symbolize what topics were trending online, which has been adopted by other social media platforms is actually a Nazi symbol called the fashtag.
It is alleged that the hashtag symbol actually is meant to symbolize two H letters standing for ‘Heil Hitler’.
4chan users have also created mock Nazi flags with the swastika replaced by the hashtag.

While 4chan users were successful with the ‘okay’ sign, Pepe the Frog ‘it’s okay to be white’ and milk being believed by the left to be symbols of white supremacy it has proved a bigger ask to have the LGBT movement abandon the rainbow flag for similar reasons.
But the purpose of these trolls is to assess just how triggered and unhinged the modern left has become in wanting to see racism, bigotry and white supremacy everywhere so they can be outraged about it and virtue signal their own anti-racist credentials.
It will be interesting to see if the left has learnt anything from their previous outraging at these 4chan trolls and simply get a grip on reality, realizing they are being baited and learn to either take a joke or ignore such trolling.
