Law enforcement authorities arrested Cesar Altieri Sayoc Jr. in connection with the mail bombing threats on prominent Democrats, billionaire George Soros and CNN.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced during a news conference that the suspect has been charged with five federal crimes including transportation of explosives and threats against former presidents and faces up to 58 years in prison if convicted.

Authorities disclosed that they lifted a fingerprint that matched Sayoc from the explosive device sent to Maxine Waters.  The 56- year old registered Republican has been arrested many times in Florida where he lives.  State records show that his criminal records date as far back as the early 1990s.

Daniel Aaronson, a lawyer who has represented Sayoc over the years, said none of his clients were “as polite and as courteous and as respectful to me” as Sayoc was.

He said Sayoc never discussed his political views. It might have sparked a disagreement if he did because Aaronson is a proud Democrat.

Multiple social media accounts linked to Sayoc show that he is an ardent supporter of President Donald Trump.

Sayoc also posted many conspiracy theories sparked by his hatred for the liberals.

A video clip posted on his Twitter account features a photo of Sayoc attending what appears to be a Trump rally. A “Make America Great Again” sign is behind him.

“Happy Birthday (the) greatest President Ever Trump Trump Trump,” the tweet reads.

President Trump, praised the law enforcement officers who made the arrest:

“I am pleased to inform you that law enforcement has apprehended the suspect and taken him into custody. This is an incredible job by law enforcement. “

“I’ve instructed authorities to spare no resource or expense…we will prosecute them, him, her, whoever it may be to the fullest extent of the law. We must never allow political violence to take root in America, and I’m committed to doing everything in my power as president to stop it, and to stop it now.”
