Soros Declares War on European Nationalism
Billionaire and ultra-leftist George Soros has declared war on the wave of nationalism that is sweeping Europe. Soros claims his Open Society Foundations (OSF) has re-aligned its resources to have more powers to stifle the nationalist movement.
The last two years have seen a good number of progressive countries in the European continent pull away from the globalist policies of the EU and embrace the nationalist ideology.
Nationalists view the EU’s globalism advocacy as a threat to their socio-economic well-being. They believe policies which support mass migration are draining resources and are creating conditions for violence in various neighbourhoods.
Nationalists are concerned increased migration from Muslim countries will pose a threat to Europe’s heritage and traditional values.
Soros has blamed nationalism for the rise of evil in the world; particularly oppression and racism:
“It’s déjà vu all over again with one big change. The dominant ideology in the world now is nationalism. It’s the EU that’s the institution that’s on the verge of a breakdown. And Russia is now the resurgent power, based on nationalism.”
Soros was allegedly hacked by Russians in 2016. The hacker group released more than 2,000 documents from the OSF which detailed how Soros financed a large number of education, human rights and public health programs around the world.
The documents also showed how Soros has waged war versus hard-right conservatives in the United States and favoured the far-left leaning Democrat liberals.
Initially, the hackers were identified to be Americans who supported freedom of speech, human rights and “a government for the people”. However, further investigation showed the group was aligned with the Russians who hacked into the emails of Democratic Party leaders before the 2016 national convention.
Since the 2016 hacking, Soros has used Russia as the reason for justifying his war on nationalism; countries that chose to value their national pride and heritage over the globalist agenda propagated by the EU.
In October 2017, Soros transferred $18 Billion of his personal wealth to the OSF. The donation has increased his contributions to the OSF’s war chest to $32 Billion and has made it one of the largest charitable foundations in the world. The 87-year old Soros plans to stay on as OSF chairman for at least five more years.
The liberal philanthropist has focused his efforts on dismantling and destroying entities that oppose his globalist agenda. These are the perceived adversaries who are challenging Soros’ position on immigration, homosexuality, same-sex marriage, abortion, population control and global warming-based environmentalism:
“I think you can say, I’m quite lucky with my enemies. It makes me feel more than ready to fight back and stand up for what is right.”
