Proud Boys Trigger Antifa By Mere Presence in Portland
Antifa had been put on notice by President Donald Trump in July that consideration was being given by his administration to declaring Antifa an organisation of terror.

Antifa’s Reign of Terror
Trump’s statement followed widespread outrage over the assault and hospitalization of Quilette journalist Andy Ngo while covering the Patriot Prayer Rally in Portland on Saturday July 29th. Two other rally attendees were bloodied by Antifa as they used makeshift weapons and concrete milkshakes to terrorise the city.
Antifa terrorism has only increased since the Patriot Prayer Rally when on Saturday 15th July, Willem Van Spronsen, a 69-year old Antifa veteran, attacked a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detention facility in Tacoma, Washington.
He came armed with a rifle, flares, and threw incendiary devices at a propane tank and set a car on fire. He was shot dead by police before he could harm anyone at the facility. Former ICE acting director Tom Homan told Fox and Friends last week ‘hundreds’ could have died if the attack was not foiled.
But unlike acts of right-wing extremism which are universally condemned by those who are deemed to share the terrorists’ views, Antifa supporters treated Van Spronsen as a martyr who sacrificed his life in the name of Anti-fascism, attempting to free those subjected to state torture.
Republican Senator Ted Cruz was the first national political figure to call for Antifa to be designated as a terrorist organisation. He announced in July he was co-sponsoring a resolution to be introduced into the Senate condemning Antifa and calling for all groups and organisations to treat them as a domestic terrorist organisation.

The Proud Boys
The main organisation Antifa believes poses the greatest fascist threat to the United States is the Proud Boys. It was founded in 2016 by alt-media personality Gavin McInnes to be a western fraternal men’s organisation.
Membership is open to any biological males and contrary to what Wikipedia says it is not a white nationalist or fascist organisation, its principles are libertarian in nature with support for U.S. Constitutional freedoms.
The truth that the Proud Boys are not a racist group, nor do they support any totalitarian ideology, makes the Antifa claim that its violence is justified because they are fighting “Nazis” not just incorrect but irrational.
Gavin McIness quit the Proud Boys following a media smear campaign in the wake of the New York chapter of the Proud Boys becoming involved in a confrontation with Antifa after a Gavin McInnes speaking event at the New York Republican Metropolitan Club.
Despite the Proud Boys laying off their Antifa attackers once their safety was assured, a politically motivated police investigation was launched, encouraged by the New York Mayor and Governor. Five Proud Boys were charged.
Two of those involved in the clash, Maxwell Hare and John Kinsman, were convicted this month of attempted gang assault, attempted assault, and riot by a jury in the New York State Supreme Court.
The four Antifa instigators refused to co-operate with authorities and were never identified, hence without any victims the two Proud Boys were only charged with attempted assault. However the conviction on attempted gang assault means the court can sentence them to up to fifteen years in prison.
The Proud Boys’ Return
The media smear campaign succeeded in having the Proud Boys kicked off all the major social media platforms. With McInnes’s departure, the Proud Boys entered a period of instability and uncertainty.
But under new chairman, 34-year old Cuban American Enrique Tarrio, the Proud Boys have reemerged and resumed their street activism. Tarrio took on the position not without personal sacrifice. In February Chase Bank decided to close his personal bank account.
They have not been shafted by the mainstream right with Tarrio attending the annual Conservative Political Action Conference in Maryland this year. He had his photo taken with fellow Cuban American Senator Ted Cruz and Donald Trump Jr.
The Proud Boys have chosen Portland as the location for most of their high profile activism given the city is the birthplace of the Antifa movement with its local Rose City Antifa founded in 2007. In the past, Berkeley, California has also been a flashpoint of activism.
Portland End Domestic Terror Rally
The Proud Boys along with the patriot group the American Guard, and several other smaller patriot grounds held a ‘End Domestic Terror’ rally last Saturday 17th August in Portland.
Another ICE facility in San Antonio, Texas was shot up on August 13th, no one was injured and Antifa aligned groups have been making threats against and doxxing ICE officials who have been trying to maintain order at the US’ Southern Border.
Early on Saturday morning President Trump reaffirmed that his Administration was considering designating Antifa as an organisation of terror. In the same tweet he also warned the Portland Mayor Democrat Ted Wheeler that public order and safety should be secured.
Major consideration is being given to naming ANTIFA an “ORGANIZATION OF TERROR.” Portland is being watched very closely. Hopefully the Mayor will be able to properly do his job!

Many of the Proud Boys and other patriots arrived via bus to ensure their safe passage to the centre of Portland. As soon as the bus began to slow Antifa thugs attempted to attack them with hammers, mace and broken parts of a concrete slab that was smuggled into the city before the event.
Another notable attendee was a man due to his ancient combat outfit is known as ‘Based Spartan‘. Footage was captured of him and his adult daughter being chased by angry masked Antifa mob.
Portland police made 13 arrests and numerous weapon seizures, all of those were from the Antifa side. The only time the Proud Boys and other patriots used physical force was to defend themselves against the onslaught Antifa attackers. One person was injuries had to be taken to hospital, while three others were treated by paramedics at the scene for minor injuries.
One of the more high profile Antifa arrests was by a man who was proudly wearing a shirt that said Beta cuck 4 lyfe. A Go Fund Me Legal Defense Fund has been set up by his Antifa comrades who claim he’s facing a ‘political charge’. It has raised $10,000 USD so far.
Media Spin
Because all of the violence and arrests were on the Antifa side, the Proud Boys and other patriot groups were still blamed for causing the violence for their mere presence in the city by ‘provoking the Antifa response.
It was reported that 1,000 Portland police officers had to be deployed to keep order. There were two dozen local, state and federal law enforcement agencies, including the FBI monitoring the event.
Local businesses suffer a drop in customers during such rallies, and are at risk of property damage. The Portland Business Alliance claimed last Saturday’s rally cost them $3 million in revenue.
CNN reporter Sara Sidner interviewed Enrique Tarrio live on air from the ground in Portland. The whole premise of her questions was that the Proud Boys were an racist violent misogynistic hate group. Given her questions revealed obvious falsehoods Enrique whose Hispanic ethnicity is extremely viable had no problem refuting her loaded questions.
But the reason that the Proud Boys and other patriot groups come to Portland is because they don’t believe that a major American city should become a safe haven for an extremist terrorist organisation like Antifa to plan their acts of political violence all over the country.
Provocation is not a defence to violence, nor is being triggered or clinging to a belief that your violence is a noble crusade against ‘Nazism’. The United States and the rest of the West are civilized nations.
The Proud Boys are allowed to protest under the US Constitution’s First Amendment, Antifa under the same amendment are entitled to counter protest. But Antifa does not believe those who disagree with them entitled to exercise their free speech, that is the cause of violence at these rallies, as you can only suppress free speech with violence.
Antifa Destroys Itself
Antifa with another display of violence have proven that ultimately they are not very politically savvy. The Proud Boys by simply turning up in a city, (freedom of movement is another right) with Antifa causing a city wide shutdown in response have played right into President Trump’s hands.
Trump now can add this event to his list of reasons why Antifa should now be designated an organisation of terror. Even Democrat leaders such as Nancy Pelosi do not want their party associated with such extremists.
Even with the mainstream media on their side the US public and political leadership have seen enough evidence, with everything now captured on video and posted online, they see Antifa as threat to their city and their nation.
