It is generally the standard for world leaders to have witnesses in the room during their meeting in state visits. During Donald Trump’s meeting with Russian president Vladimir Putin, the only people present will be the two world leaders and their translators.
Many are saying this is inappropriate due to the controversy surrounding the Trump campaign and Russia, while others claim there is nothing inherently wrong with the leaders meeting unsupervised. What do you think?
