Lidia Thorpe Claims She’s the Real Victim of Strip Club Tirade
Independent Victorian Senator Lidia Thorpe in a statement has claimed she was the real victim of racist harassment outside the Maxine’s Gentleman’s strip club in Melbourne on Sunday morning.
This is despite Thorpe being caught on camera racially abusing a white man calling him a ‘white little cunt’ along with claims he has a ‘small penis’ and that he was now ‘marked’.
David Ross the general manager of Maxine’s has banned Lidia Thrope from the strip club for life in an official notice to her after it was found she was going up to white men in the club and telling them that they’d stolen her land.
The rest of Thorpe’s statement is full of deflections from her actions including claiming she was provoked and that the government and media focus should be on the 32nd anniversary of the Royal Commission Into Aboriginal Deaths in Custody Report.
She claims she is being demonized by white men in power and compares herself to AFL footballers Adam Goodes Heritier Lumumba. Her response to Prime Minister Anthony Albanese’s suggestion she needs mental help is a continuation of an old racist and misogynistic narrative.
Thorpe finished her statement by promoting an exclusive upcoming interview with Antifa socialist YouTuber Tom Tanuki real name Thomas Stephen.
Since her resignation from the Greens 7 months into her 6-year Senate term in February Thorpe’s public behaviour has got even worse. Before her racist strip club tirade she held up a float at the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras mistaking it for the Australian Federal Police Float. She was tackled and removed by the Australian Federal Police when she tried to interrupt the Let Women Speak Canberra event held by Kellie-Jay Keen.
