Five Reported Dead In Darwin Shooting


A 45 year old man has been taken into custody following a shooting spree in Darwin on Tuesday night.

The gunman was said to have fired ten shots into Palms Beach hotel on Darwin’s Esplanade. One woman was shot through her hotel room door.

Witnesses say the man was armed with a pump action shotgun.

The suspect fled into a nearby suburb of Woolner before being apprehended in Stuart Park at 6:45pm.

The suspect has been described as being of Caucasian descent, wearing high-vis and driving a white dual cab ute.
