BREAKING: Saudi Arabia and Qatar funding ISIS
The Podesta Emails, released on Friday by Wikileaks, have provided damning evidence Saudi Arabia and Qatar funding ISIS. The conspiracies are correct. And what’s worse, Hillary Clinton knew about it. An email sent from John Podesta, Hillary’s campaign manager, to the Democratic presidential nominee state the following blatant words:
…we need to use our diplomatic and more traditional intelligence assets to bring pressure on the governments of Qatar and Saudi Arabia, which are providing clandestine financial and logistic support to ISIL and other radical Sunni groups in the region.
The email describes how to engage with ISIS, as well as utilise the various factions and military groups within the region. It also mentions an “ongoing competition to dominate the Sunni world” between Qatar and Saudi Arabia. With their reputation already marred by an appalling human rights record, the damage that could be caused by this revelation is incomprehensible.
It will be interesting to see how this will impact upon the Clinton campaign. Hillary Clinton already knew that Saudi Arabia and Qatar, both vehement US allies, were funding ISIS. But did they do anything about it?
Given the situation in the Middle East, it may be understandable as to why Clinton avoided publicising this story. However, the message is clear. Saudi Arabia and Qatar are funding ISIS.
