BREAKING: Riot erupts at UC Berkeley
A protest over a scheduled speech on the UC Berkeley’s campus by the editor of Breitbart news and internet sensation Milo Yiannopoulas has turned into a riot.
Fires broke out and a crowd in there hundreds started breaking windows, damaging property and throwing fireworks and rocks. There has also been reports of physical confrontations as the protesters attempted to attack people attending the planned event. The protestors chanted “Facists” at the attendees.
Riot police have moved in and are threatening to release chemical agents to bring the crowd under control. Reports are also emerging that Police have fired non lethal bullets into the crowd.
The campus has been placed into lockdown and students ordered to take shelter. Yiannopoulos has been evacuated and has tweeted his fans to let them know he is safe.
