Paris- Reports of police using tear gas against thousands of Yellow vest protesters who were marching on the European Parliament building.
This comes just 2 days after President Emmanuel Macron announced 5 billion euros ($5.58 billion) in response to the protests.
Police fired several canisters of tear gas to push back the demonstrators, a Reuters witness said.
The Interior Ministry said around 23,600 protesters took part in marches across the country, including 2,600 in Paris, compared with around 28,000 a week earlier.
President Emmanuel Macron has been unable to handle the crisis in France. From the continued unrest to the Notre-Dame de Paris fire, France is a country that is being subjected to continual decay.
