Show Description

A week after the voters in NSW went to the polls to decide its parliament and government for the next four years we are back for an election wrap up show following our election night livestream with Senior Editor of the Unshackled Damien Ferri.

We assess the post election narrative that Gladys Berejiklian’s victory shows the Liberal Party doesn’t have a problem with women, and that it gives the federal party a bounce going into the federal election. We look at the downfall of Labor leader Michael Daley with his party all but shunning him as a racist for his Asian replacement comments.

We analyze the performance of the minor parties at the election, especially the Shooters, Fishers and Farmers Party’s performance in the lower house winning three seats as well as retaining their upper house seat. They are in with a chance of winning seats federally.

We also look at rest of the composition of the upper house set to include Mark Latham with One Nation, David Leyonhjelm with the Liberal Democrats along with Keep Sydney Open, Sustainable Australia, Animal Justice and the Christian Democrats all in with a chance of winning a seat.

We also look at the poor performance of Australian Conservatives and what that means for the future of the party.
