With Victoria going into another six weeks of tweaked stage 4 lockdown and the UK on the road back into lockdown it would appear we are going to be gridlocked into a lockdown roadloop instead of a roadmap out. The Uncuckables panel discusses with Tim Wilms Editor of The Unshackled, David Hiscox Editor of the XYZ, Logan Spalding and Stephen Wells.

It turns out Melbourne’s curfew was not a recommendation of the Chief Health Officer nor Police Commissioner. Following their conduct last week Victoria Police have again been harassing grannies and pregnant women for sitting on a park bench during their exercise. We have not heard from from ‘Chief Wiggum’ Luke Cornelius since last week, maybe all the fat-shaming was too much for him.

Dan Andrews has claimed we must open up slowly but Melbourne nurses still had time to perform a rehearsed version ‘I’ll Stand By You’ playing musical instruments. Even worse in Melbourne the city council refused to deliver One Nation stubby holders to the lockedown public housing towers because residents might be offended by them.

While rumours are circulating about a crisis in the Victorian Government it is the NSW Government which could be falling apart. The National Party is threatening to sit on the crossbench if a koala habitat protection bill is not withdrawn.

Annastacia Palaszczuk’s hard border closure has meant a young woman has missed both seeing her father before he died and his funeral. She is also hindering four young children seeing their dad before he dies later this year. She claims she is being billed to grant more border exemptions saying it is out of her hands up to medical advice. But her Chief Health Officer Dr Jeannette Young has said she has granted exemptions to the AFL and Tom Hanks for economic not medical reasons.

The UK appears to be softening its citizens up for a second lockdown due to a spike in cases with limiting gatherings. The Oxford University coronavirus vaccine trial has been halted after a participant had an adverse reaction. Though Australian Health Minister Greg Hunt said the vaccine will be rolled out on schedule in January next year.
