Victorian Government Ministers Label True Blue Crew Meeting Nazi Gathering

Premier Daniel Andrews and Victoria Police is now attempting to talk tough on law and order after being subjected to extreme criticism over its handling of the state’s African youth gang crime wave. However it is clear the message has not filtered through to other senior members of the Victorian Government.

The worst two offenders have been Attorney-General Martin Pakula and the Minister for Housing, Disability and Ageing, Minister for Mental Health, Minister for Equality and Minister for Creative Industries Martin Foley. They have both sort to mock Home Affairs Minister Peter Dutton’s comments about the state’s crime crisis claiming the statistics do not back up the community’s concern and smugly tweeting occurrences of violent crimes in other states. Both instances show a callous regard for the victims of violent crime.

It is this type of attitude from the Victorian Government which led the True Blue Crew a patriot organization based in Melton in Melbourne’s west to organize a community meeting for concerned citizens in Melbourne on Sunday night. One of the proposals that came from the meeting was to reboot the Neighbourhood Watch program in the social media era so that residents in an crime hotspot can be alerted to an incident and take action to secure the area.

Seven News was granted access to the meeting and their report featured comments from True Blue Crew leader Kane Miller and United Patriots Front leader Blair Cottrell who stated that community action was needed because of the failure of leadership from the Andrews Government and that Victoria Police were not being given the resources they needed to respond to the spike in violent crime incidents.

However the mainstream media rather keeping the pressure on the Andrews Government to take action have instead decided lambast Seven News for giving a platform to people they deem to be Nazis. Junkee’s Osman Farqui claimed that Australia has now normalized the presence of Neo-nazis and that Seven News had given them a glowing profile.

Most the allegations that these groups are Nazis are based around a Facebook comment that was made by Blair Cottrell in 2013 where he called for a picture of Adolf Hitler to be put in every classroom. The Guardian also claimed that no report about Cottrell should ever be made without mentioning that he spent time in jail.

While Cottrell has never directly addressed this comment he responded to the Neo-nazi accusation by rubbishing how meaningless the term has become.

However the True Blue Crew has repeatedly rejected accusations it is racist organization. Kane Miller told the Unshackled last year they that are not a group that cares about skin colour but are about fostering Australian culture and community cohesion.

The True Blue Crew in their a Facebook post calling upon people to register with them have restated that you don’t have to be white to join or support their activism.

You would expect leftist media outlets to engage in this level of hysterics however wouldn’t expect senior Victorian Government Ministers to throw around the term Nazi so loosely.

But true to form that is what Martin Pakula and Martin Foley did on their Twitter accounts and in turn completely dismissed the concerns that were raised at the meeting. Pakula directly attacked the Seven News report.

While Foley retweeted the comments of other social media personalities who criticized the report.

If these ministers are going to label anyone who has concerns with African youth gang crime as Nazis then we should really despair about the likelihood of the Andrews Government making any serious effort to address this crime crisis. Let’s remember that Pakula is the Attorney-General who will be the Minister responsible for introducing any changes to the state’s criminal code (if that does ever eventuate). Claims about Nazism being on the rise in Victoria make a mockery of the violent crimes being committed against Victorians of all races on an almost daily basis.
