Last Saturday Victorian Greens Party leader Samantha Ratnam was a featured speaker at a rally outside the Victorian State Library in Melbourne. The rally was organised by the “Campaign Against Racism and Fascism“(CARF) group and her speech was made while standing under an Anarcho-Communist variant of the “Antifa” flag.

This is of course only a week after Ms Ratnam along with other prominant Greens proudly marched under the same banner at a rally organised by the same group.

The same Antifa flag flying above the extremist organised protest at St Kilda that Ms Ratnam also attended.

As anyone with even a passing interest in Australian far left politics is aware CARF is a front for Socialist Alternative, the largest, best organised and most violent left wing extremist group active in Australia today. The Antifa flag Ms Ratnam made her speech under represents a group that the U.S Department of Homeland security has declared a perpetrator of domestic terrorist violence. A former member of the group in Australia described the Antifa organisation as being “more dangerous than ISIS”.

The Victorian leader of Australia’s third largest political party made a speech to a protest organised by a Marxist group that wants to violently overthrow the government while happily standing under the flag of a terrorist organisation.

And the media didn’t mention it. They even cheered her on.

Jerome Small. One of the founding members of the Trotskyist extremist group Socialist Alternative.

Ratnam was joined by fellow speaker Jerome Small, the Socialist Alternative union liaison and a Marxist activist with a pedigree of extremism going back to the violent attacks on Pauline Hanson’s One Nation meetings in Melbourne in the late 90s. Ms Ratnam’s presence was endorsed and even advertised by the Greens acting Deputy Leader and sole member of the federal lower house Adam Bandt. The protest as a whole was also endorsed by the Victorian Socialists party, the electoral front of the Trotskyist groups Socialist Alternative and Socialist Alliance who recently almost elected fellow veteran Marxist Councillor Stephen Jolly to the Victorian upper house. At the event were placards advertising “Solidarity”, another Trotskyist group that only a few short weeks ago was accused by NSW Greens upper house MP Cate Faehrmann of attempting to infiltrate that branch of the party.

In the middle you can see a placard advertising the Communist group “Solidarity”. To the left of the picture is a man wearing a blue wig for some reason.

The mainstream media response to this gathering organised by extremist activists who hate Australia and want to see it violently destroyed was to applaud.

Channel 9, the evil capitalist commercial network left wing activists continually decry as racist, sexist and everything-phobic described the congregated far left extremists as a “anti-nazi rally”.

I guess nobody told Channel 9 that according to the extreme left they’ve joined the ranks of the “fascist enablers”

The evil, nasty News.com the most viewed Australian online property of the evil-fascist Murdoch conspiracy, described the meeting of Marxist minds as a gathering of “protesters”.

Mark Brook writing for the Daily Mail called the assembled extremists “anti-racism activists” and “protesters”. This is despite the fact that over half the pictures accompanying his article have been taken either from the twitter page of extreme left “Marxist midwife” Gaye Demanuele (an associate of Marxist Freedom Socialist Party leader Debbie Brennan) or from the Victorian Socialists Facebook page itself. One of the photos accompanying his article even has Victorian Socialist supporters making the clenched fist Marxist salute while holding up Victorian Socialists branded signage to the camera.

Holding signs advertising a Marxist party while making a Marxist salute? Don’t worry the media won’t mention it.

Oh and Tom Clift wrote something for Junkee which can be summed up as “I literally can’t even”. Which is about what you’d expect from the publication that once employed Osman Faruqi.

It needs to be repeating because the crime of its omission by our so-called “fourth estate” is so egregious. A supposedly mainstream political leader from a political party with representation at all levels of government made a speech to a rally organised by, endorsed by, attended by and addressed by extremists who wish to violently overthrow the government and establish a totalitarian Communist state.

And Australia’s journalists not only did nothing, they cheered them on.

These are the same journalists who have spent a large chunk of the last fortnight declaring Fraser Anning to be a horrific human being beyond the pale of reasonable public discourse for attending a rally of concerned citizens where a random attendee decided to impersonate Basil Fawlty.

This can’t be put down to simple ignorance or even stupidity. Not after the past week of coverage. Not after the spittle-flecked, hate-fest of a feeding frenzy that our noble scribblers have been having while nipping at Senator Anning’s heels.

This isn’t incompetence. This is complicity.

And if you’re not angry, you should be.
