In the past week British nationalist and Islam critical activist Tommy Robinson has been under assault from both street thugs and his own government. Robinson who first rose to prominence as the founder of the street activist group the English Defence League had spent the past year as a commentator for Rebel Media UK. Last month he decided to go independent and launched a new YouTube channel and website, he said the move would allow him to return to street based activism rather than being in a studio.

As part of his new on the ground reporting he and his camera crew were filming outside a left-wing conference when at a nearby McDonalds they were set upon by seven men wearing face coverings, they first assaulted Robinson’s cameraman and cameralady before going for Robinson himself.

However a bunch of skinny soy boys were no match for the founder of street movement who fought them off without receiving a scratch. Also no camera equipment was stolen or damaged so Robinson was able to upload the footage in its entirety to his social media channels.

When Antifa attacked Australian columnist Andrew Bolt they wilted away after Bolt fought back. In the Battle of Berkeley Antifa came off second best after the free speech and Trump supporters defended themselves.

Robinson then confronted local police who were guarding the event, police told him they will not investigate because they cannot identify the attackers. During his exchange with police he was heckled by attendees at the conference who told him he deserved it for deciding to film outside.

Robinson has not just been battling street thugs this week but his own government who have been deporting his friends. Austrian  Identitarian leader a member of Generation Identity Martin Sellner along with American YouTuber Brittany Pettibone were detained and denied entry to the UK last Friday. Sellner was planning to give a speech at a rally in Hyde Park ironically about free speech and the pair were also planning to interview Tommy Robinson.

UK authorities claimed Sellner  “a far-right group and intend[s] to incite racial hatred” that his speech could could cause violence and disrupt community cohesion. When Sellner and Pettibone arrived back in Austria Robinson greeted them at the airport and the planned interview still went ahead.

Now Canadian conservative commentator Lauren Southern who had been in UK to continue her coverage about the Islamisation of Europe was arrested and detained and then deported by UK authorities. The deportation order claimed Southern was involved in the distribution of racist material in the town of Luton (the hometown of Tommy Robinson) and that she posed a threat to the fundamental interests of British society and the nation’s public policy.

It is clear that UK authorities under the direction of the UK government consider any dissent from policy of multiculturalism a threat to national security. The language they have used in these deportation orders can also be interpreted as fearing violence from left wing and Muslim groups from the speech of right wing and conservative activists. So if violence is threatened against people for exercising their free speech the UK authorities take action against the non-violent parties and pander to the wishes of the would be aggressors?

Many have highlighted the fact that the UK allows ISIS foreign fighters to return to the UK but is now deporting those simply exercising free speech which until now we assumed was a value of all western liberal democracies?

The UK Government last year announced a far right crackdown, we are now seeing this policy being implemented. After 2017 was a year of Islamic terror in the UK you would think the authorities would have other priorities. But it would appear those who threaten violence are now calling the shots, the UK authorities appear to now fear if anybody speaks out against the left and Islam they will turn violent.

Rather than punishing those who commits violence and terrorism it is punishing those simply highlighting that violence. Tommy Robinson is now clearly a marked man by the UK authorities and government, it has turned a blind eye to those who have assaulted him and started deporting his friends. The UK has now entered an even darker chapter in its history.
