The author says they need to “tone down” the more “insane” aspects of their rhetoric. Is that how the right came into power? By “toning down”? No, they did it with excessive partisanship,with a relentless propaganda campaign, partisan and delusional though it may be, and by opposing every government effort backed by “liberals” (again, center-right moderates) regardless of the dysfunction it caused.

I hope and pray that conservatives (morons in fact) get treated the same way in kind, but there’s something inherent in the “left” (center-right moderates) that guarantees this will never happen. They’ll be the first to invite you morons back into the system with open arms and compromise.
