So if NZ’ers leaving for Australia goes back to anywhere near the long-term historical level of 20k per year, they’ll actually only have to cut immigration by a measly 10k. Not only that, but the charlatan’s number includes both temporary and permanent visas. NZFirst had promised to cut permanent visas from 45k to 10k per year. What they’re actually going to do is just lower the temporary student visa numbers a bit, which will hurt the economy for no real gain. Between that, plus all the kiwis running the hell away from their stupid policies that will knife our economy, they’ll ‘cut immigration’ without actually cutting it. NZfirst stabbed it’s base in the back. He promised no Maori seats – now he’s stopping the world’s largest ocean sanctuary going ahead because he takes lots of money from Maori fisheries groups stopping the sanctuary in court over spurious Treaty of Waitangi claims. Had the Maori party won 3, Labour would have lost the election on the night. He’s always said he hates welfare-ism – now he’s in bed with a Greens party that is creating no-obligations welfare, with no sanctions for benefit-fraud, and no requirement to work, and 20% increases to the benefit which will be pegged to the median wage. This is after National had a mandate to put a definitive time-limit on the benefit. We were about to make massive in-roads into welfare-dependency. Now it’s going to be on steroids. He wants to move Auckland port to Northland for no reason at a cost of $10billion – and all the trucks will have to drive back to Auckland where the goods have to go in the first place. I can’t express how profoundly angry I and many other NZFirst supporters are with what crazy Uncle Winston the loon has done. I don’t know what he’s been smoking or more likely drinking. But it must have really hurt his brain. Unless NZFirst is going to get a big left wing vote, it dies next election. He couldn’t even win his own electorate seat, and no one else in the stupid party did either.
