A Week of LGBT Ideological Enforcement
The demands of the LGBT agenda are becoming greater and more absurd. And it seems with every victory they feel enabled to move onto to their next demand, and they are finding that the political, educational and corporate establishment are more than willing to enforce their proposals.
This week of LGBT ideological enforcement began with Premier Daniel Andrews last weekend when participating at Melbourne’s annual LGBT Pride March announced that he would ‘in an Australian first, we will introduce new legislation to ensure so-called (LGBT) conversion therapy is against the law – once and for all’ calling it ‘a cruel practice that perpetuates the idea that LGBTI people are in some way broken’.
While nobody wants to see cruel physiological practices performed on vulnerable people, making unlawful therapy that is voluntarily sought is an attack on personal freedom and self determination.
This was outlined by anti-Safe Schools campaigner Moria Deeming (who has been a guest on the Unshackled Waves), in an article published in the Spectator Australia. Deeming highlights how Andrews believing sexuality is fixed and unchangeable conflicts with his own education department’s sexuality education resource “Identity is fluid and can change over time, and this applies to our sexuality and gender identity too… It’s completely up to you!”
Deeming highlights the personal choices that would then become illegal ‘What if a homosexual student desires to have biological children one day, and so decides to explore the possibility of igniting or increasing heterosexual attraction for that purpose?’
She also highlights the fact that young people who display gender confusion in childhood usually grow out of it, and councilling to explore this would also become illegal ‘What if a family have a child experiencing gender dysphoria, and, encouraged by peer-reviewed studies showing very high rates (over 80 per cent) of desistance of dysphoric feelings after natural puberty, decide to take the ‘watch and wait’ approach in the very reasonable hopes of avoiding drastic and irreversible medical interventions?’
The Liberal Opposition in the state is waiting to see what form the final legislation will take before coming to a formal position.
Later in the week the University of Technology, Sydney (UTS) announced the roll out “all-gender” bathrooms on their university campus to “make students feel safe and welcome on campus”. The naming of these bathrooms “all-gender” according to Erin of the UTS’ Queer Collective “transgender people prefer something affirming like all gender or gender-neutral to something which tends to be fairly binarising like unisex”.
Again the rollout “all-gender” bathroom conflicts with another progressive goal to provide safe spaces for women and to protect them against sexual assault, something that university campuses have committed to combat.
It was also reported in the Australian newspaper that the Australian Association for the Teaching of English was pushing for secondary students to study more books which feature same-sex attracted characters and queer relationships to reflect more sexual diversity, citing the change in marriage laws and the need to “challenge heterosexism”. Apparently having two out of 21 English texts recommended by the national curriculum authority with themes outside of the heterosexual norm is not enough.
The final and most disturbing example of LGBT agenda enforcement comes out of the United Kingdom. Its police force has long arrested, charged and even jailed people for saying mean things said online, but the most recent one is the most extreme.
Kate Scottow, a 38-year old mother from Hertfordshire was arrested in December last year in front of her children, was locked up for seven hours, photographed, had DNA and fingerprints taken and remains under investigation for referring to a transgender woman Stephanie Hayden on Twitter as a man online.
Hertfordshire Police commenting on the case said ‘We take all reports of malicious communication seriously.’ Scottow wrote about this experience on online forum Mumsnet ‘I was then detained for seven hours in a cell with no sanitary products (before being interviewed then later released under investigation … I was arrested for harassment and malicious communications because I called someone out and misgendered them on Twitter.’

Critics of the LGBT agenda claim that these encroachments on freedom and injecting of more LGBT ideology into our education system and even our amenities are the next step after the legalisation of same-sex marriage in Australia 2017. While you can plausibly connect the two these latest examples of LGBT enforcement are on a completely different and more alarming level.
Let us hope that while the progressive left in its modern form creates absurd public policy proposals, there will be at least some sane people in our political class who are willing treat these proposals with the scorn they deserve.
