In an attempt to salvage their failed hit piece on Queensland Senator Fraser Anning journalists from the ABC presented their case to Prime Minister Scott Morrison for comment during a recent press conference. His response was to smile, repress what seemed to be an incipient attack of incredulous laughter and dismiss their allegations as “some sort of conspiracy theory”.

It must be remembered that the Prime Minister is hardly Fraser Anning’s biggest fan. Only recently he himself attacked the maverick Senator from the sunshine state as unfit to be a participant in Australian politics and has boasted that the Liberals will place Senator Anning’s Conservative Nationals party last on all but one of their electorate how to vote cards. Yet even Scomo could see how frantic, how deluded and how outright unhinged this attack from the ABC was.

As was reported by the Unshackled last week the ABC attack alleged that a man who was once a friend of a staffer of the Senator was over a decade ago involved in a Neo Nazi group and insinuated that this friend was secretly controlling the Anning campaign.

To back up these claims the ABC reporter Alex Mann stated that he had seen screenshots of private Facebook message groups that for some reason of he wasn’t willing to show anyone. The only source quoted by Mann backing up the ABC’s allegations was one “Andy Fleming” better known as the Anarchist blogger “Slackbastard”.

To sum up the ABC made allegations against a sitting Senator alleging him to be the cat’s paw of a secret Nazi conspiracy. The only proof they provided to back up this rather outlandish claim was the word of a man who is one of the chief Australian propagandists for Anarchism, an ideology which promotes the murder of police.

No wonder Scott Morrison almost laughed in their faces. But the fact that journalists from the ABC and other outlets consider using proponents of the most violent and extreme political ideology in Australian history as legitimate sources to smear their political opponents indicates that the cosy relationship between mainstream Australian journalists and the local far left extremist scene continues to grow ever closer.

Australian journalists seldom if ever name Marxists, Anarchists and their fellow travellers for what they are. In this piece itself Alex Mann described Andy Fleming/Slackbastard, a self-described extremist who has spent years denouncing everything about Australian society and calling for the destruction of Australia itself as a “Person who researches Fascism”.

Alex Mann is not an outlier, he is the norm. And he is especially the norm at the ABC. All those at the taxpayer funded broadcasters who continue to cover up for Australia hating far left extremists and who continue to use them as sources without exposing their views need to be sacked and they need to be sacked now.
