Channel 7 Promotes Marxist anti Morrison Marches
Channel 7 useful idiot Warren Barnsley promotes Marxist anti-Morrison marches.
On Monday Channel 7 journalist and producer Warren Barnsley promoted this Friday’s protests calling for the sacking of Prime Minister Scott Morrison that have been organised by the Socialist Alternative front group “Uni Students for Climate Justice”.
Uni Students for Climate Justice was created last March with the aim of bolstering the numbers at the high school “Climate Strikes” with university students in the run up to last May’s Federal election. It has been from the beginning a front for Socialist Alternative, a revolutionary Marxist group in the Trotskyist tradition.
How do we know Socialist Alternative is a revolutionary Marxist organisation? Because the first line of the first sentence of the first paragraph in their statement of principles (publicly available online) states:
“Socialist Alternative
is a revolutionary Marxist organisation. We stand for the overthrow of
capitalism and the construction of a world socialist system.”
How do we know Uni Students for Climate Justice is a Socialist Alternative front group? Because every single spokesperson and organiser for the group going back to their founding almost a year ago has been a well known activist for Socialist Alternative.
In Canberra: Kim Stern, Wren Somerville and Grace Hill. In Melbourne: Anneke Demanuele and Kath Larkin. In South Australia: Sage Jupe and Madeleine Edhouse. In Sydney: Hersha Kadkol, Lily Campbell, Gavin Stanbrook and Chloe Rafferty. In Queensland: Priya De, Catherine Robertson and Carl Jackson. Every single organiser. Every single spokesperson. All members of the same group that openly states it wants to overthrow the government and implement a totalitarian socialist state.
The Channel 7 Brisbane digital office is hardly a well-known stronghold of communist sympathisers so perhaps we can give poor Warren the benefit of the doubt. Maybe he didn’t actually know who was behind the group he was promoting. But that’s rather the point. The fact that no journalist in the Australian mainstream media seems able to point out who these people are means that ignorant dupes like Warren can unintentionally help promote events organised by Australia’s largest political extremist group.
And as Friday gets nearer it will only get worse. Dozens of outlets will be promoting these rallies and because most Australian journalists are left wing in their political sympathies and are still quite upset at Morrison for winning the miracle election last year the media coverage will be fawning. Much like their political bedfellows in the U.S and U.K a worryingly large percentage of the left leaning professional middle classes (a group hat includes most journalists) no longer seem to think that any election they lose is legitimate.
It’s an atmosphere custom made for extremists to exploit. And thanks to fools like Warren Barnsley at Channel 7 the Australia hating Trotskyists of Socialist Alternative are doing just that.
