On this week’s review show we look at Australian politics still being in a state of crisis, do this we are joined by Front and Center host Emilio Garcia.

The Australian parliamentary citizenship crisis has escalated with John Alexander the Liberal Member for Bennelong the latest MP to resign due to citizenship by descent. It leaves the government without a majority on the floor on the House of Representatives and another by-election to contest. Questions surrounding other MPs are being raised on an almost daily basis, Malcolm Turnbull and Bill Shorten cannot agree on proposal to compel MPs to produce documentation. There are now many commentators and members of the public calling for a fresh election to resolve this crisis, however before that occurs we need to find a method to ensure that ineligible MPs cannot be elected ever again.

New nationalist group Patriot Blue decided to confront Labor Senator Sam Dastyari and hurl insults at him. The media, politicians and even conservative commenters condemned the incident. While it was not the nicest thing to do it is important to highlight they were still more civil than the left, they didn’t obstruct Dastyari’s movements and left of their own accord after five minutes, sometimes the left do deserve a bit back. Compare that to the left’s protests this week where Manus protestors drove a car onto Flemington racecourse to disrupt those traveling to the Melbourne Cup and Tony Abbott’s sister Christine Forster was attacked at a Liberal fundraiser. Police are usually needed to restraint leftist protestors.

Sex scandals have been dominating the news the past few weeks. It started in Hollywood with Harvey Weinstein, then Kevin Spacey was exposed and the list of celebrities accused is growing longer. This scandal demonstrates that sexual abuse in institutional settings is not confined to religious organisations like the Catholic Church. This shouldn’t be seen as political scandal as Fox News has also had its own problems with sexual harassment lawsuits. Sexual misconduct allegations have also be leveled against 36 British MPs, it makes one wonder which institution will be next and why so many cover it up? However the feminist lobby as always is attempting to hijack these scandals to prove a rape culture exists with the #MeToo hashtag.

It was one year since Donald Trump was elected President of United States and the left decided to be triggered all over again. We saw the beginning of the Refuse Fascism movement and scream helplessly at the sky day. It was election Tuesday in the US with the Governorships of New Jersey and Virginia going to the Democrats, the media claimed anti-Trump sentiment helped the campaigns however they are states that voted for Hilary Clinton, the real test will be next year with the mid-term elections. Trump still needs to fulfill key election promises but his Presidency has not seen America fall apart.
