Girl That Falsely Alleged Rape to Get a Boy’s Attention is Going to Jail

Crime, Law, Rundown

In South Setauket, N.Y. two innocent men had their sports career put on hold and their scholarships revoked due to the horrific false allegations of a 19-year-old woman called Nikki Yovino who claimed these two men raped her.

Nikki reported to police that the two football players forced themselves on her in a bathroom in an off-campus party. The identity of these men has not been disclosed, but reports show they admitted to having sex with Nikki but said it was consensual.

Though the innocent men felt the consequences of Nikki’s heartless and deranged actions, she later came forward to police to admit that she had indeed only had consensual sex with the two men and was later charged with evidence tampering and falsely reporting an incident.

Perhaps one of the most concerning factors of the case is the reason Nikki provided to police for her defamation and attempted jailing of two innocent men. Apparently, Nikki feared the loss of a male friend and potential boyfriend of hers and thought her false allegations would inspire sympathy on the boy’s behalf.

Nikki has accepted a plea and will only serve one year in prison, but it is worth asking one’s self if a person who would gladly destroy the lives of two innocent people to attract the sympathetic attention on a teenage crush is anyone who should be released back into society.
