The Unshackled’s Victorian Election Night Livestream
November 24 @ 6:00 pm - 11:00 pm
The Unshackled is back for another election night livestream. Victorians go to the polls on Saturday 24th November 2018 to elect their government for the next four years.
The Daniel Andrews Labor Government has had a tumultuous four years in office from when it was first elected in 2014. It cancelled the East-West Link road project at a cost of $1 billion, it pledged to roll out the Safe Schools Program to all Victorian government schools by the end of the its term, energy prices are increasing, congestion is getting worse and under their watch Victoria is in the midst of an African crime wave and the city’s leftist activists are running feral. Daniel Andrews is also under fire for Red Shirts rort during the last election where it diverted $388,000 of taxpayers’ money to its election campaign.
However the Matthew Guy Liberal Opposition has been unable to capitalize on these scandals and cut through to the electorate and still trials Labor in all the major opinion polls. It is setting up to be a close bitterly fought state election campaign on the issues of crime, infrastructure, energy and service delivery.
Who ends up forming government in the lower house is only half the election with Victoria’s upper house potentially again delivering the balance of power to minor parties. Which ones will rise above the others? There is the Shooters Fishers and Farmers Party, the Liberal Democrats, the Australian Liberty Alliance, the Australian Country Party, the Democratic Labour Party Reason (formerly Sex Party) and Victorian Socialists all vying for an upper house seat.
Join the Unshackled from 6pm AEDT after the polls close in Victoria for alternative perspective as we analyze the results as they come in with our election night panel featuring Editor in Chief Tim Wilms, XYZ Editor David Hiscox, social media personality the Young Conservative and free speech advocate Magnus O’Mallon.
